BINGO

It's time to play BINGO! Here is a BINGO game to play with the vocabulary in English, en français, en español and po polsku from the book A Robin's Nest in a Fish-Tail Palm Tree? Choose the BINGO page you like, and play it for fun. Maybe you could win a little prize, or just be congratulated for playing "cool."

How do you play BINGO/LOTTO?

Before playing

1. Print the MASTER BINGO card (callout sheet) by clicking on it. Cut all the pictures along the lines. To make your callout pieces last longer, print them on heavier paper or glue them on paperboard (any empty box would do). Laminating them would be the optimal solution.

2. Print the VOCABULARY PAGE for your reference by clicking on it.

3. Print different BINGO cards for each participant by clicking on them.

4. Prepare a set of markers for each student. They can be paper clips, pieces of paper, spare coins, buttons, etc.

The Play

1. Hand out one BINGO card per participant and some markers.

2. Put the callout cards face down in a pile, or put them in a box or a hat. You will call them one by one, naming the picture and/or showing it to the participants. If they have it they must put a marker on top of the picture.

3. Decide beforehand with your participants what pattern you will play. For example:

4. Start the game by calling the cards or have a participant do it for you.

Whoever covers first the played pattern says BINGO/LOTTO! and gets the prize. You might prepare some small prizes for the winner of each combination. Each child should have won something. You might also think about other rules that seem fair to you.
